The Tudor Grange Leisure Centre project consisted of a new build construction of a flagship leisure centre for Solihull Metropolitan Council. This included the demolition of the existing centre. The new centre had to be constructed adjacent to existing operational facility which posed challenges for the team, however a logistical strategy was developed in conjunction with all major stakeholders to ensure adequate separation of public and construction activities.
The project was a challenging 14-month construction programme however constraints were identified during the design phase to enable implementation of time saving construction techniques. The innovative design makes efficient use of the site and the project was completed to programme.
