Parkwood Leisure is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and sustaining the natural environment. As pioneers in the market, we are proud to have been the first leisure management company to have achieved the Environmental Management Standard ISO14001, and we have retained this accreditation since 2002.
We continue to reduce our impact on the environment through good housekeeping practices, the ongoing education of staff and ownership of environmental impact at site level. We offer a capital investment programme aimed at reducing the energy consumption at our venues and support this with frequent monitoring and reporting through internal experts and external consultants.
Throughout each of our sites we recycle as much waste material as possible. This is achieved through a combination of staff training, high visibility recycling points and information within centres. Beyond this, however, we embed recycling into a wide range of our decisions, such as our product design and even our choice of suppliers, ensuring that wherever possible we are maintaining our sustainable values.
As part of our Environmental Management System, each of our facilities evaluates the scale and significance of the impact of each activity they conduct on the environment. Steps are then taken to mitigate any negative impact. Each of our sites is audited both internally and externally to ensure that our high standards in this field are maintained.
By taking a proactive and positive approach to sustainability we reduce our impact on the environment whilst also reducing costs for our client partners. We pride ourselves on the results we are able to achieve at each and every facility we operate. For more information on our sustainability programme or ISO14001 accreditation, please get in touch.
