New Broughton Astley Leisure Centre goes live with membership sign-ups

Parkwood Leisure is excited to announce that the construction work at the new £4.5m Broughton Astley Leisure Centre is nearing completion.

With the site set to open in early December, the build is running ahead of schedule; the first member of the new centre has also been announced as Clive Grafton-Reed, chairman of Broughton Astley Parish Council.

Clive has been very supportive of the new facility and is passionate about delivering much-needed leisure provision to the community of Broughton. He said: “The new facility will finally provide the residents of Broughton Astley a place to exercise within the Parish. Residents have been campaigning for over 30 years to have a leisure facility and this is now a reality.”

The new facility will include a health club with a 63-station state-of-the-art gym, two group exercise studios, four-court sports hall, floodlit outdoor 3G pitch, café and an outdoor play area. The leisure centre will be a focal point for the local community, aiming to encourage fit and active lifestyles for members and visitors.

Mike Price, contract manager for Parkwood Leisure, said: “This is a really exciting time for the local community and Parkwood Leisure. We are looking forward to working with the residents of Broughton Astley and surrounding areas to enhance the community’s leisure provision and provide happier and healthier lifestyles for all.”

Membership sales will commence on Saturday 28th September with an early bird offer available for a limited time only – find out more via the website or in-person at the Parish Council office.
