SKY HIGH THRILLS AT WEST PARK TO REOPEN

Thursday 1st April, 2021 West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton has confirmed the reopening of its Sky Trail on 5 April.

The outdoor attraction, managed by Parkwood Leisure, will open its 10 metre high level Sky Trail Adventure in time for the school Easter holidays.

The course challenges guests to navigate around the two levels of rope, bridge and beams including an additional ‘dare you walk the plank?’ feature.

With restrictions to the hospitality sector still in place until 12 April, the Sky Trail is one of only a few attractions visitors can enjoy during the Easter break.

The Sky Trail opening marks the first step of the reopening process for West Park Leisure Centre. Managing Director of Parkwood Leisure, Glen Hall, said:

“We are very excited to be working in partnership with Erewash Borough Council to reopen the Sky Trail facility at West Park Leisure Centre in time for the Easter holidays.  We knew investing in the facility was important to ensure we had something different to help engage children in physical activity so we’re delighted they’ll be able to open it again after a really tough 12 months.”

Councillor, Carol Hart, Leader of Erewash Borough Council and Lead member for Culture and Leisure added:

“The past year has been extremely difficult for everyone, especially for children and the reopening of the Sky Trail is the first stepping stone for our leisure centres in reopening their facilities”
