RUFFORD MILL WINS AT THE HITCHED WEDDING AWARDS 2023

The picturesque Nottinghamshire venue has been named one of the best wedding venues in the UK.

02/02/2023 – Wedding and events venue Rufford Mill, located in the heart of the idyllic Rufford Country Park, is one of the Hitched Wedding Awards 2023 winners in the Wedding Venues category.

The venue was named as one of the most recommended by newlyweds on Hitched.co.uk, a leading wedding planning platform and part of The Knot Worldwide Group.

This year marks the second edition of the Hitched Wedding Awards, where over 18,000 wedding vendors registered on the Hitched.co.uk platform were given equal chances of winning.

2022 was the year of the ‘wedding boom’, following thousands of delayed celebrations after the pandemic. The growth in the number of  weddings last year meant that the 2022 awards were hugely competitive, and were based on over 8.5 million reviews globally across The Knot Worldwide.

Rufford Mill hosted just under 90 weddings throughout 2022 and received a total of 264 reviews on their online storefront on Hitched.co.uk. The venue was given a rating of 5.0 out of 5.0, determined by the couples who planned their weddings with them, and the guests who attended.

The venue now boasts a badge on its Hitched listing, in recognition of its Hitched Wedding Awards 2023 win. This badge will serve as a marker of quality to the thousands of couples who use Hitched to book their wedding vendors.

Kirsty Edwards, Contract Manager at Rufford Abbey is thrilled with the awards win:

“2022 was an incredible year for the team at Rufford Mill, following what has been a tough period for wedding venues across the country, and I’m incredibly of everyone who all worked tirelessly to deliver the very best experience for our guests. It’s an honour to have been chosen among over 18,000 venues as one of the most recommended wedding venues on Hitched.co.uk.”

José Melo, Vice President of Sales for Europe at Hitched.co.uk, said:

“After two very difficult years of the pandemic for the sector, where professionals had to halt their activity and suffered great losses, this year we can finally talk about an edition where weddings were celebrated big.

“The professionals have worked long hours, without weekends off and have extended the season during practically all of 2022. Therefore, above and beyond individual recognition, the celebration of the Wedding Awards 2023 seeks to serve as a tribute to all those professionals and businesses that gave everything to make the recovery of the industry a reality.”
