TOWCESTER CENTRE FOR LEISURE TO REFURBISH GYM IN £200,000 PROJECT
16th February 2023 – National Leisure Centre of the Year award winners, Towcester Centre for Leisure, have announced plans to refurbish its gym area in a £200,000 project.
The centre, managed by Legacy Leisure, has worked up plans to deliver a significantly refurbished gym, containing brand new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment from Life Fitness and will be officially unveiled in April 2023.
In addition to the equipment replacement, the gym will also undergo a complete transformation with new flooring and upgraded LED lighting, as well as a full redecoration of the gym.
Towcester’s sister site at Brackley Leisure Centre has also benefited from £50,000 of new equipment following its refurbishment and extension in 2018.
Two years ago, Towcester Centre for Leisure used the enforced COVID-19 closure to complete extensive refurbishments including the addition of a state of the art yoga studio, increased gym space with a functional training area and improved changing, and shower facilities. These further improvements evidence West Northamptonshire Council’s commitment to providing the very best service and facilities for its community.

These improvements will strengthen the site’s position at the heart of the community.”
Towcester Centre for Leisure is located on the outskirts of the historic town and boasts a 25m competition pool, wave pool, flume, 70 station gym, indoor cycling studio, fitness studio with 60+ classes a week, sports hall, and a newly refurbished 3G pitch.
